Authority Flywheel - Lesson 3

The Consideration Stage

The stage between reach and the ask, and why most feeds skip it

Most creators operate in two modes: Awareness, meaning reach plays, and Conversion, meaning sell posts. The stage between them, Consideration, is where a reader moves from liking you to trusting you enough to buy.

Be clear about what kind of claim this lesson is making. Funnel stage is not a field we tag in the corpus, so no funnel-stage percentage appears anywhere in it. This is a model for planning your own feed, and it earns its place by being useful rather than by being measured.

What the corpus does show is where the volume sits. Teach takes 36.8% of posts and Sell takes 11.8%, while Connect, the intent that most often does the trust work, takes 6.1%. The consideration layer is thin because the posts that build it are the slowest to write and the least likely to travel.

The Funnel Gap

Awareness posts do reach and discovery. In intent terms these are mostly Inspire and Provoke, the two highest-engagement intents in the index.

Consideration posts do trust and depth. They are the bridge, and they are the ones that get dropped when a calendar gets busy, because they are the slowest to write and the least likely to spread.

Conversion posts make the offer. Sell is the intent creators are least likely to beat their own average on, which is exactly why the two stages before it have to be doing their job.

What Makes a Consideration Post

Bridges a high-level concept to a specific proprietary solution.

Contains 'Logic Continuity' - every point leads to the next without the reader having to infer connections.

Contains 'Depth of Evidence' - at least 2 specific proof points (data, case study, or lived outcome).

Does NOT include a hard CTA - the audience is still building trust.

Building Your Consideration Layer

Deep framework posts that connect a broad concept (e.g. 'why most solopreneurs plateau') to a specific proprietary model.

No sell. Just depth. The audience moves from interest to trust through the quality of your thinking.

Two tests before you publish one: does every point lead to the next without the reader inferring the connection, and are there at least two specific proof points in the post. If either answer is no, it is an Awareness post wearing a Consideration coat.
